I assume you have added your phonenumber under settings in Beta-SMS?
I also assume you typed the numbercorrectly otherwise it doesn't take it?
And finally I assume that your numberis verified by voipcheap.com?
If this is all yes, then it seems thatvoipcheap.com doesn't allow you to specify your own number.
I don't have an voipcheap.com accountso it will be hard for me to test specifically on that, If I come upwith something I will let you know.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've added my phone number under settings in Beta-SMS, and it's the same I use in my voipcheap.com settings.
I suspect that the problem is not an improper handling of the sender's number by either Beta-SMS or voipcheap.com. It looks like the google voice (which number I actually used to send SMS to) somehow detects and displays the real number the SMS is sent from. I do not have much of statistical data, but another recipient overseas has got my SMS with the sender's number I used.
I will let you know more after additional experiments.
