Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've added my phone number under settings in Beta-SMS, and it's the same I use in my voipcheap.com settings.
I suspect that the problem is not an improper handling of the sender's number by either Beta-SMS or voipcheap.com. It looks like the google voice (which number I actually used to send SMS to) somehow detects and displays the real number the SMS is sent from. I do not have much of statistical data, but another recipient overseas has got my SMS with the sender's number I used.
I will let you know more after additional experiments.
